PLAY- IN THE KIDDOS’ ROOM

Our playroom

Having an organized area for your children to play and express themselves is important to encourage creative play. This may be a small corner in your living room or a room designed specifically for managing toys. Our playroom is an area my boys can play quietly together in a space right off of our kitchen. We make sure their favorite (and most used) toys & books are accessible to them. Books and less played with toys and toys with smaller pieces are stored safely away in the closet.

Bright colors against white walls brighten up this space. An accent wall of tropical birds also serves as an area for storing seasonal gear.

My sons’ playroom has pops of bright colors and animals throughout, which supports my design vibes of having a playful space, without feeling overwhelming for myself or my kiddos.

Bins for the win!

Cloth bins help keep the toys organized in their respective spots. We cycle toys out periodically and store extra toys in the attic.

Do things get crazy in this room? Absolutely. But a good system in place makes cleanup much easier. This is one of my favorite rooms of my home.
